Senior Microbiologist

The Arab Pesticides and Veterinary Drugs Mfg.Co (Mobedco) was established in 1991 in Jordan. Initially focused on agricultural pesticides, Mobedco has since expanded to produce a wide range of veterinary medications for farm and companion animals. The company now offers up to 200 products in various forms, including suspensions, powders, injectables, and aerosols. Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Microbiologist located in Irbid. The Senior Microbiologist will be responsible for managing laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with quality control and quality assurance standards, and conducting microbiological tests. The role involves the use of laboratory equipment, documentation, and analysis of data, as well as coordinating with other departments to maintain product quality. Additionally, the Senior Microbiologist will oversee and apply sterility testing methods, ensuring that products meet strict sterility and contamination-free standards. Responsibilities include:

Performing sterility testing on pharmaceutical and veterinary drug products using methods like membrane filtration, direct inoculation, and automated sterility testing systems.
Developing and validating sterility testing protocols in compliance with international standards.
Monitoring cleanroom environments and ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and GMP regulations.
Investigating microbial contamination and implementing corrective measures to safeguard product integrity.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Laboratory Skills and use of Laboratory Equipment.

Extensive knowledge in Microbiology and Sterility Testing Methods.

Experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field.

5-10 years of experience in microbiology or a related field

Must be located in commutable distance to Irbid, Irbid and in Jordan Experience in the pharmaceutical or veterinary drug industry is a plus.
