Retail Operations Manager – Fashion Industry

Job Summary:
The Retail operations manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, managing staff, and ensuring that customer service and operational standards are met. The retail operations manager will also be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, monitoring sales trends, identifying areas for improvement, and overall business performance.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Working with the senior retail team to clarify strategy and objectives and translate it into a clear and deliverable plan.
• Manage and motivate the retail staff to ensure a high level of customer service and operational excellence.
• Oversee recruitment, training, and development of retail team.
• Monitor Sales trends and develop strategies to maximize sales.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity and customer service.
• Monitor and analyze Retail KPI’s to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with department heads to optimize inventory management, merchandising, and strategies.
• Implement training programs to enhance staff skills and product knowledge.
• Collaboration with the marketing team to plan and execute promotions and events.
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Ensure store policies and procedures are being followed.
• Lead and motivate the retail operations team of the fashion brand to deliver the plan.
• Ensure compliance with safety and security standards and handle emergencies as needed.
Job Specifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, retail management or any equivalent field.
• 8–10 years proven experience as a fashion retail operations manager.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and customer service principles.
• Excellent leadership and organizational abilities.
• An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management, supply chain, and logistics.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic fashion retail environment.
• Familiarity with retail software and point of sale systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
