Position Title: System Administrator
Summary:
The System Administrator role is pivotal in maintaining and optimizing the functionality Dinarak’s IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
-System Maintenance and Optimization: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including system updates, patches, and configurations to ensure the smooth functioning and optimal performance of servers, networks, and associated infrastructure.
-Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve system and network issues, including hardware and software failures, network connectivity problems, and security vulnerabilities.
-Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access, malware, and other cybersecurity threats. Monitor security logs and conduct regular security audits.
-Network Management: Oversee network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices. Configure and maintain network equipment, ensure efficient data transfer, and implement robust security measures to safeguard network integrity.
-Backup and Recovery: Develop and execute backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness. Test and validate backup procedures regularly.
-User Support and Training: Provide technical support to end-users, assist with system-related queries, and conduct training sessions to ensure efficient and secure use of systems and applications.
-Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Prepare reports on system performance and security metrics.
-Vendor Management: Liaise with third-party vendors for hardware and software procurement, licensing, and support, ensuring effective and timely resolution of issues.
Qualifications:
-Three years or more experience in a highly regulated industry.
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
-Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role, managing IT infrastructure, servers, and networks.
-Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.), network protocols, and hardware components.
-Proficiency in system security, including firewalls, encryption, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management.
-Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) is advantageous.
-Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
