Job Opportunity in Mafraq Governorate
The Arab Women Organization of Jordan (AWO) is a civil society organization
established in 1970. AWO is dedicated to promoting women rights and gender equality
by providing a safe and supportive environment for women and girls through integrated
services, including protection, psychosocial support, awareness programs, and
empowerment initiatives.
Project Overview
This project focuses on providing case management services for children and women, as well as
psychosocial support, legal consultations, leadership capacity-building training,
livelihood training, educational and life skills activities. The project aims to empower
women and girls, and enhance their ability to overcome various challenges by offering
comprehensive and multi-faceted support.
As part of this initiative, AWO is seeking to fill the following position in Mafraq
Governorate within its a specialized team for community services and psychological counseling.
Job Title: Child Protection/ Case Manager
Location: Mafraq Governorate
Contract Duration: 6 months
Contract Type: Full-time

Tasks and Responsibilities
Assess the needs of beneficiaries by conducting a comprehensive evaluation to
determine the required services and support.
Provide immediate intervention based on the case’s needs to ensure appropriate and
timely support.
Refer beneficiaries to specialized institutions and organizations, as well as to services
within AWO’s center.
Develop individualized action plans tailored to the needs of each beneficiary.
Provide guidance and initial psychological support to help beneficiaries understand their
available options.
Coordinate with service providers to ensure beneficiaries receive the necessary care
and support.
Monitor progress and adjust action plans as needed to achieve the desired outcomes.
Train and mentor new staff to ensure the best case management practices are
implemented.
Adhere to ethical, legal, and humanitarian standards in all aspects of work.
Document beneficiary data both in hard copy and electronically with full confidentiality,
and prepare monthly and quarterly reports.
Attend monthly meetings with UNHCR and participate in necessary project meetings
and training sessions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Sociology at a minimum.
At least two years of experience in case management or working with Children
Good knowledge of family protection laws, referral system procedures, and mandatory
reporting requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Previous experience working with child protection is preferred.
