Job Title: MHPSS Officer.

Supervisor: MHPSS
Technical project manager.

Supervisee:
MHPSS volunteers. An MHPSS officer provides emotional,

social, and practical support to vulnerable individuals and groups. Help
clients cope with stress, trauma, and life challenges while strengthening
resilience and connecting them to essential services.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement
psychosocial support plans for patients from Gaza and their family members
evacuated to Jordan by JNRCS

Facilitate group activities
(e.g., support groups and resilience-building sessions)

Identify and refer clients to
specialized services (mental health, legal aid, medical care) in
collaboration with the MHPSS technical project manager

Conduct psychosocial support
sessions with the patients and their family members affected by trauma, violence, or
displacement wither in an individual or group settings based on needs.

Monitor and document client
progress and case updates

Coordinate and
oversee basic psychosocial, recreational and educational activities implemented
by volunteers and teachers.

Train volunteers and teachers to implement basic
psychosocial, recreational and educational activities

Education & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in
psychology, social work, counseling, or related field

Training in psychosocial
support (PSS), mental health, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable

Previous experience in
community work or humanitarian settings is an asset

The MHPSS Technical Project Manager has two main responsibilities;
one is responsible for all aspects of MHPSS project management and the second
is technical support and case management.

Key Project Management responsibilities:

Ensure
proper project planning, preparation and activities organization.

Monitor
project progress

Write
monthly project progress reports

Recruit
teachers and volunteers

Attend
relevant department meetings

Identify
focal points within JNRCS who will support communication with patients
from Gaza and their families

Coordinate project activities with other
departments and stakeholders.

Participate in
relevant national technical working groups/subgroups such as MHPSS Task Force
and Education working group

Continuously
assess the needs of hospitalized Palestinian children and their caregivers and adapt project
activities accordingly in collaboration with line manager. /

10. Support JNRCS/IFRC
    communication teams to enhance visibility and promote project activities
    and facilitate external communication as needed.

Key technical responsibilities

Establish and manage case management system for
Palestinian patients and their caregivers in collaboration with the MHPSS
Officer

Line manage the MHPSS Officer (cf. JD annex)

Provide technical guidance to MHPSS Officer,
teachers and JNRCS volunteers.

Provide capacity
strengthening of MHPSS Officer, teachers and JNRCS volunteers and ensure continued learning.

Lead weekly project meetings with MHPSS
Officer, teachers and JNRCS volunteers to ensure proper planning, preparation
and implementation of activities.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in the Human Sciences.
