Senior Health Systems Strengthening Advisor/Team Lead, Jordan
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree or equivalent in Public Health, Health Sciences, Health Policy and Administration or other related fields.
Demonstrated relevant senior-level experience and successful performance in managing and implementing health system strengthening programs in the areas of governance, health policy, performance improvement, or supervision and administration with experience and successful performance in providing technical assistance related to strengthening institutional and individual capacity in the component areas of health systems.
Experience and successful performance working in one or more related health technical areas preferred; maternal and child health, family planning/reproductive health
Demonstrated capacity to use quantitative and qualitative methods for health systems strengthening
At least 8 years’ experience in public health programming, preferably in a similar health systems strengthening advisory role
Experience in designing and implementing assessments of health system functions (e.g., data use, policy making, developing accountability mechanisms, tracking performance, and/or systems for quality).
Knowledge of quality improvement interventions and models and demonstrated experience with quality improvement programs
Excellent knowledge of Jordan health system
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective working relations with host country government personnel, stakeholders, NGO partners, and international donor agencies.
Knowledge and experience in working with USAID or other donor-funded programming preferred
Strong English writing and oral presentation skills
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume work flow.
Relevant computer software skills, including at a minimum MS Office.
