● Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities
Collaborating with other members of the engineering team to design new products or improve existing products.
Analyzing existing systems and improving our engineering processes.Provide technical training for the technicians and supervise training activities within section to assure suitable training is provided for his reports according to their responsibilities so all activities are performed safely and correctly.
Lead implementing maintenance and safety procedures within the Electrical Maintenance Section and make necessary corrective actions if needed to ensure personnel, equipment, and environment safety.
Monitor electrical maintenance technician’s performance against pre-set performance goals to ensure that progress is being made in the desirable direction and preventive/ corrective actions are taken accordingly.
Support the continuous update and adherence to maintenance procedures, and make sure that technicians are always complying with IS-9001 and ISO 14000 procedures.
Monitoring the maintenance expenditures within his area of work and perform the communication and action to assure the expenditure is according to the budget.
Contract with vendors to provide required services to serve E&I Section interests according to company policy.
Provide monthly report about the electrical maintenance activities within his area of work to assure all maintenance activities are well communicated and correctly documented.
Ensure all maintenance activities performed by his reports are complying with JBC health, safety, and environment procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
+10 years of engineering experience preferred in industrial applications of MV equipment and associate systems, transformer & transmission substations , power plants.
Experience in AutoCAD, ETAP, and Power tools would be an added advantage.
Good knowledge about International E&I standards IEC, IEEE, NFPA NEC, ASME and other NFPA
designing substation and protection systems, transmission, and distribution network systems
Knowledgeable with High Voltage (HV , LV & MV ) equipment such as Gas Insulated Switchgear, Power Transformer, Primary & Secondary system.
Good knowledge of international safety practices.
Good financial practices knowledge.

• Two years college (Diploma) in Chemical Industries or Petrochemical Industries.
• 2-4 years’ experience in operation of chemical plants
• For JBC interns, min 1 year of experience is acceptable.
• Participation in emergency teams.
• Physically and Medically fit for The Position
• Working in shift hours at JBC site with full dedication and not committed to any other entity.

• Good computer skills in MS office.
• Good English language skills.
• Communication skills.
• Strong follow-up skills.
• Root cause failure analysis and problem-solving skills.
